    I have touched red hot binchotan coals directly on these gloves and I did not feel any heat. The rubber material for the grip was slightly damage but barely. I just wish these weren't as bulky but it would probably make them less effective. These gloves are great for grilling or doing any work near an open fire. I am extremely confident in these gloves protecting my hands and lower arms from any damage when working in a high heat/ open fire environment.

    This gloves are a game changer, I used to grill without gloves and ended up with aching hands from the excessive heat after every use, the gloves are very comfortable, and pretty flexible to use, i have a relative small hands, and they fit nicely.

    the only downside is that they get a little hot and sweaty on the inside after a long use, so I'd recommend to let your hands out every hour or so of use to refresh.

    I'm using an insert on a propane grill to add smoke, using wood chips and charcoal. If smoking for several hours, the chips must be replaced and more added. These gloves come in handy to handle the hot items.
