It’s Good for the Value
I really like this I would’ve give it five stars if it would’ve come with a sponge to clean the inside of my tank it does not come with a sponge. It comes with a little thing to kind of clean it with, but I don’t really like it . It doesn’t really clean my oval tank, I had to use a sponge, but it really does suction. I couldn’t videotape while doing it, but it really picks up debris. It’s a suction is pretty powerful and pick up a lot of leftover food that my guppies leave in the tank. It’s worth getting.

Works most of the time. Just have trouble getting all the gunk that builds up in the tube to stay when I remove after clearing the water. Still a great tool, and turned a 3 hour procedure into a mere 30 minutes. I would recommend for any small fishtank, but I will also leave it out there that an electric pump, or one that could contain the buildup better wouldn't hurt. This is a great first timers, great value, works great, just have to put some effort in towards the end of emptying.

After having the same issues over and again with other types, I decided to take a chance with this one. I am very impressed. You have to pump it a lot, but what's good is the suction is controlled, so it doesn't just get started and then rapidly siphon out water. This is great, because you can direct it to the messy areas, the waste bucket doesn't fill up as fast, but you're getting to the worst stuff quickly. It doesn't clog up very much either. The clips hold it in the bucket (unlike my other set-up that all of a sudden, the hose popped out and yucky water ended up on the floor. I really like it, and the seller shipped it out quickly. I think I'll get another one - because this is a winner, but you never know about availability in the future, so now that I got something that works, I don't want to ever go back to searching and trying out, and wasting money on useless products!

The QZQ Aquarium Gravel Cleaner seemed like a great tool at first, but after a couple of uses, I started noticing some issues. Initially, the suction worked well enough to clean the gravel in my tank, but after a few uses, it began to lose its power. It became harder to effectively clean the tank, and I found myself spending more time trying to get it to work properly.
Another downside is the pumping action. While it's supposed to make the cleaning process easier, I found it uncomfortable for my hand, especially during longer cleaning sessions. The grip isn't ergonomic, and my hand would start to cramp after a few minutes of use. It’s not the worst cleaner out there, but for the price, I expected more durability and comfort. If you only need a short-term solution, it might work, but I wouldn’t recommend it for regular, long-term use.

I have had a few of different versions of these now and this is my favourite.
Comes with clamps to reduce flow so you can clean your substrate without taking too much water out too soon.
Only downside is feels a bit cheap but it works

5.0 out of 5 stars Really difficult job made easy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 12, 2024
I have owned many fish aquariums for over 35 years and I have never found a straightforward way of changing the water. I have bought several what I have been told are amazing products only for me to end of recycling them.

This is a very straightforward but effective piece of equipment. I clip one part to the bucket and the other part to the aquarium. I start the process of drawing up the water and all I need to do is agitate the bottom part to the dirty parts of the aquarium. It starts sucking up the water and filling the bucket. Due to the way the pipe is attached to the bucket, once full you squeeze the side with the attachment which automatically stops the flow of water at which you can empty and then restart the water change by unsqueezing the tube.

It's brilliant and it's really made water changes that much less of a headache and chore. I'd definitely recommend this.

The one thing I'd say to avoid, if you get it too close to large gravel pieces it will suck them up and block the flow of water. It's a once you know you won't do it again situation which makes you use the equipment more efficiently.

    Thanks for reading! :-)
