Real review by a Real father!
Okay, so first of all I’m happy that I found a less expensive test that was saliva based. I didn’t want to go get a blood test done because the mother would’ve notice the bandages or the prick on my daughter’s skin. She usually swells up around the poking spot as well. The review: - I received the package via Amazon and opened it to reveal the packaging I posted as the picture. - (2) envelopes that contained (2) swabs (not cotton swabs more like a bristle used to clean out a straw or baby bottle. - They will ask you to take the information provided in the package and set up an account online. - The envelopes have the title of the individual it is meant for. For example, my envelope had (Father) on it and the other had (Child). - The instructions make you nervous because they put emphasis on not messing up lol. So it’s best to open (1) envelope at a time and use (1) swab at a time to swab (1) cheek each. Remember, (2) swabs per envelope (1) per cheek (right cheek and left cheek). - After you have obtained the samples put them in the envelopes but DO NOT seal it. Leave it out to dry for an hour in the opened envelope. They recommended 30 mins but once again the instructions made me nervous because it said if the swabs are still wet then it would fail smfh. So I waited an hour for certainty. - Seal both envelopes after the swabs have dried. Put both envelopes in the “ground advantage” bag. Seal the “ground advantage” bag. The “ground advantage” bag is a prepaid bag that you bring to USPS not UPS. - My mail got lost because I dropped it off in a darn collection box on the corner. So I ended up submitting a “lost mail request” online and thank god they found it! So it took me 4 extra days longer for the lab to receive my results. - I finally was able to track the package and saw the lab received it. - The Lab sent a text confirming they’ve received it and started the process (see picture posted). - 24 hours later I received another text saying the results are available online (see picture posted). - And guess what?! She is my daughter!! Man the relief I felt was amazing. It made everything I’ve done for her up to that point mean that much more. The results will show either a “0”, you’re not the father, or a “>99.99999” which means you are the father. Overall: the price was affordable and if it wasn’t for my mail being lost the experience would’ve been better. I recommend dropping it directly off to USPS so that you could avoid that scare. As long as you register the kit and follow the instructions, you’re good. I wanted to do this review because I know how nerve wracking it was for me and then to not have a valid review of the product made me skeptical. I wanted clarity and direction and had to throw caution into the wind because of my limited budget. This review is it guys. Trust me.
