Overall Opinion: Apache Flex is excellent software of the creation of apps. Apps can be created for mobile or desktop use. One of the strengths of this program is that it can create apps that use the same source code even for different versions. You can create one app that is versatile and usable across many platforms. Best of all, the app will run consistently no matter the platform. The software is open-source with free versions available. It features a number of things that lead to faster and easier programming. Unique interfaces, inheritance and strong-typing help you complete tasks with less work. If you need to build an app with access capabilities, Flex has you covered there too. Apps can be designed with the ability to access a device's camera, local database, GPS and more. One nice feature offered by this software is the ability to test your app. You can use mobile simulators or even test the apps on a specific device. This is perfect for debugging and getting all of the kinks out of your new creation. Testing can even be done for different screen sizes and resolutions. With Apache Flex, you can be sure your new app will be available to a large user base. When working within the program, you generally will start by creating an application interface.
