Overall Opinion: Alter is a great app for any person with a knack for social media or even just hobbies as simple as scrapbooking. Alter takes the pictures that you take on your phone and changes them to look like pieces of art, and the software works incredibly well. Social media posts will never be the same in the wake of Alter. Now even your generic boring suburban town or your urban apartment complex will look like a brilliant work of art instead of a generic photo. You can easily use the software to impress the people around you or spice up presentations for work or school. There really is unlimited potential for the app and there are countless situations where having Alter on your phone would be hugely beneficial, if you care about appearances, of course.

Pros: Alter can make any picture you have look like a piece of art. Even boring generic landscapes look much more intriguing when presented in a unique style. Alter features three stunning forms that you can change your pictures into: Cubism, Expressionism, and Street Art. Each of the three has its own unique aspects of style and all look great in action. You can use Alter on high resolution images to get very high resolution results. These images still look great after going through Alter's filters.

Cons: Alter is limited in the number of styles it presents. Although the ones it offers look great, there are many styles that are absent that would be very helpful to have in your library. Some photos can come out of Alter looking incredibly strange. However, this is often due to problems with the original picture as opposed to problems with Alter's software itself. Some artists take issue with making art with software as they believe that it takes away from the artistic element of the artwork. On the other hand, the software opens art up to anybody, regardless of inherent talent.
