Cut the Rope (series) Reviews
We have 1 review for Cut the Rope (series). The average overall ratings is 4.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: The original Cut the Rope has become one of the most popular puzzle games ever made. Gamers can't get enough of Om Nom, the star of the Cut the Rope series. The game is so popular that several spin-offs of the original have been made. Other games in the series include Cut the Rope: Time Travel, Cut the Rope: Triple Threat, and My Om Nom. Cut the Rope first appeared in 2010. It was originally available exclusively for the iOS platform. Subsequent games in the series are available for Android, Nintendo 3DS, and Windows. The game can currently be played on no less than 16 platforms including browser versions for Firefox and Chrome. The games were designed by Russian developers and featured challenging puzzles that are based on physics. Solving puzzles enables players to "cut the rope" and feed Om Nom. The puzzles get harder with each game level. The game is now released as a series which contains each edition. Each level of the game features candy which is attached to a rope. The object of the game is to use a finger swipe to cut the rope and release the candy. The candy must then be directed to Om Nom's mouth by evading multiple obstacles. There are 16 levels which can be conquered, and new levels are always being offered in updates to the core game. Players can gain superpowers to increase their chances of success. Some of these enhancements require in-app purchases which can make the game expensive to play. The basic version is free. Cut the Rope also offers cut scenes or animation sequences that feature Om Nom. Those who have developed a fondness for the character will want to play all the games in the series. Cut the Rope is fun and challenging, a rare combination in many games today.
Pros: Multiple levels and boxes for hours of play Play with one finger Good balance between fun and challenging levels
Cons: In-app purchases can get expensive Some game features unavailable without in-app purchase Higher levels are extremely difficult
