Overall Opinion: When you first start the game, you'll wake up in the year 2032 aboard a space station encircling the moon. The station is called Talos I, and you learn that you're at the center of an experiment designed to change humanity permanently. However, things have not developed as they were meant to. A hostile alien force has overtaken the station, and the crew are being hunted by vicious predators. You'll have to survive the onslaught of mind-bending creatures as you explore your involvement in the story and the history of the Talos I station itself. By finding tools hidden around the station, you'll be able to advance and survive. However, that won't be quite enough. Thankfully, you'll have a slew of amazing powers that can be upgraded and expanded to give you the defensive abilities you need to survive the attack. You and you alone are capable of standing up to the threat, and you control the destiny of each person onboard the Talos I. In Prey, you play a character named Morgan Yu, and your goal is to find out every detail you can about your past and how you came to be on the Talos for this experiment. You'll search for clues that were left by yourself in the past, and you'll slowly start to piece together the puzzle. One of the most notable aspects of the game is the setting. The Talos I itself is a beacon of luxury and class, and it was designed to reflect the sort of auspicious luxury that was popular in the 1960s. Even though the different pathways inside the station are all connected, there is no linear path you must take to unlock the secrets of the facility. You'll discover as you play the game that the alien threat attacking the Talos I isn't exactly what it appears. Instead, it's almost as if the very environment is attacking you through the guise of some dark entity. You must use your strange abilities and your wits to defeat the threat before it's too late. Prey is an exceptionally fun game because it gives you so much freedom, and the world it develops is starkly thrilling and beautiful. You'll have to use materials from your surroundings to make more complex items that will assist you in surviving, and as you get further in the game, your abilities will grow to deal with new threats. Improvisation becomes a vital element of the gameplay since you'll have to defeat enemies in creative and unique ways with your environment and skill set.
