Overall Opinion: Have used for several years, mostly with success. Used to have problems with some files (burn process wrong) and could usually fix by converting to a different file type. A couple of weeks that failure rate went to 100%. Converting makes no difference. takes the full compilation time, then fails to burn. Communication is very poor. I mean WHAT does burn process wrong mean? What remedy do I have when I am only given a very generic failure messsage.

Pros: It was easy to use and usually could be made to work.......until a week or 2 ago. Now won't work at all. It is free, and apparently is worth only what is paid. Nothing!

Cons: Communication was always rather poor. When something wouldn't burn, I always had to use trial and error to fix. Now there seems to be no fix. Fail codes should give user some kind of idea as to how to fix fails.

John Bearden is using WinX DVD Author almost every day since at least a year or more.
