Overall Opinion: Netdata is the new software that allows users to see exactly what is going on with their computer systems all in one convenient location. Functional across several different platforms, this software can be useful for anybody who wants to really understand where their resources are being used and what can be improved. The program comes ready to run right out of the box and setup is a breeze. People with experience with computing will be blown away by the breadth of data that netdata can present to you in one convenient location. However, some novice users may feel a little bit overwhelmed, as a lot of the data may not mean much to them. For this reason, netdata is really better suited for those who have a solid working knowledge of software and computing systems in general. The interface definitely shows you everything you would need to know, although the design could certainly use some improvement. It is certainly functional, but at the same time it is not exactly beautiful. The real time updating of your systems as well as the low hardware requirements however more than make up for the interface and make netdata an excellent option for anyone who really wants to understand more about their computing systems.
Pros: Low hardware demands - netdata does not require much power to run, so the device it is on will not experience slowdown Breadth of data - the user interface shows users a wide variety of analytics including CPU %, RAM, and network status Works immediately - users do not have to worry about setting the software up themselves as it is set up prior to installation
Cons: Requires working knowledge of computing - novice users may not understand exactly what they are looking at Guides on dealing with problems - the softwares does not necessarily let users know how they can fix the problems that the software might indicate their systems have Overwhelming interface - the interface can overload the senses, as it presents a very large amount of information in a very small space
