Do not touch Plesk

Overall Opinion: Communication. For me, No.1 reason for dealing with someone, or not. Plesk uses ZENDesk for their support and ZEND dictates what browser you can use or else, refuses to connect. Well, I don't use browsers which belong to crime rings like Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc. I use Brave browser because Brave allows me to stay save and keep my data for myself, in the end it' my data. Correct? Add to this that you literally have NO OTHER way of communicating with Plesk other than through their support ticketing system tells me that they disrespect your need to communicate with them and all they have to say is: 'Unfortunately'! Well, unfortunately I Don't Deal with anyone who doesn't wanna communicate with me and thus, Plesk is no partner to me at all.

Pros: Willingness of a few individuals to help (but they are constraint to PLESK policies and therefore, despite of their willingness, it's just not possible. I feel bad for some individuals working at PLESK and if it was me, I'd change employer.

Cons: Nothing worthwhile considering.

Norbert is using Plesk almost every day since at least a year or more.

Plesk, from bad to worse

Overall Opinion: Every day I discover more pit-holes on Plesk. Reported already some issues over a year ago, surely their Highly Professional Team gives a rat as s . Nothing changes to the better, only to the worse and then, of course, their hard work screwing it up more and more needs to be rewarded with price increases. Had enough of this corporate monopoly BS. Flash Plesk down the drain and block the drainage just in case they try o cough up again. Morale: The BIGGER one gets, the less value they offer and Plesk is nearing the Zero mark, together with cPanel (Now owned by the same investor anyway, you know where these two are heading towards). Goodbye to both of these money suggers

Pros: their name

Cons: Anything else!

My Opinion on Plesk

Overall Opinion: Whether you're dealing with an app, a website, or a business infrastructure, Plesk helps your IT department simplify and automate the process of growing and maintaining the systems in place. Plesk is a hosting control panel that can scale to the demands of their users, all in one intuitive dashboard. They'll follow you through the entire process, from the early stages of developing your project through making sure it remains safe, secure, and functional for all of your users. The core feature set for Plesk is rich and fully realized. Plesk owners can make use of the Horde email service to keep all their conversations internal and secured, and their website builder allows you to put together a professional and eye catching site even if you aren't a skilled HTML, CSS, and JavaScript developer. They offer a number of different site builders catered to the specific needs of their wide range of customers. When it comes to managing your internal data, Plesk really shines. Their file manager allows you to edit, manage, and backup your files and folders while always keeping an eye towards your disk space usage, while domain management allows you to easily keep track of all your domains and subdomains and make sure that all the aspects of your site are running smoothly together. Database migration and management is equally as smooth. Broad security features and a selection of self-repair tools further round out the core package for Plesk users. Plesk's catalogs add a whole new level of convenient versatility to your sites or apps. Their application catalog allows you to integrate a wide variety of third party services directly into your project, while their extension catalog draws from big names like GitHub, Docker, and WordPress Toolkit. Plesk's desktop software runs in tandem with their mobile apps, letting users have access to all the tools they need even if they're away from the office. While Plesk is a powerful tool for any business project, the benefits are magnified for IT professionals. Automation takes center stage here with versatile and intuitive task scheduling options and migration tools that never require you to dig in to the command line interface. Managing your users is a simple affair. User accounts can be provided credentials individually, or users can be classified into user roles or subscriptions to handle assignations in bulk. Administrators have a large amount of leverage in how they tailor these groups. Subscriptions are the top down variable, letting you assign defined resources and services that subscribers have access to, while user groups let you determine the access level of anyone within these subscriptions. Plesk also provides tools for developers. Their ready to code environment supports JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Perl, Javascript, .NET, Node.js and PHP, and you can even perform operations on Plesk objects directly through the command line interface.

Pros: Easy to use interface that can accomplish a lot for developers and IT professionals Support for a vast number of coding languages Affordably priced

Cons: Advertisements can become obtrusive No sync option for users managing multiple web servers

grex is using Plesk every other week recently.
