My Opinion on Discord

Overall Opinion: Because of how many similar programs there are, Discord had to hit the ground running when it came to starting out as a strong competitor in the field. Skype, Teamspeak, and Ventrilo were all designed with the common goal of reliable VoIP in mind, and Discord was able to combine all of the best features of each program while doing away with the weaknesses. Discord is easy on the computer's resources as it maximizes the user's potential to keep in touch with all of their contacts for whatever they need. Because of its synergy with all types of gaming platforms, individuals do not need to worry about tabbing out at a crucial moment or wasting their time when their teammates need them. Because of how many more people use such services for gaming, this easy-to-use program allows more and more gamers to get the experience they want without any of the downtime that they could expect with Skype or lower versatility with Ventrillo.

Pros: Discord is very easy to set up and use, requiring practically no specific software or hardware for the individual to have in order to make sure that the program works as intended. All types of overlay features are available, allowing individuals to keep up with their friends in any gaming environment without having to worry about lag or connectivity issues. The easy user interface provides individuals with all they need to start chatting and sharing their video gaming experiences with their friends. With an active community and all types of additional features available for an affordable fee, more and more people can look forward to regular support and frequent updates, resulting in an ever-changing software landscape.

Cons: The video features are still being figured out, and individuals may not use group video chat yet. Individuals can expect a little bit of bugginess when using the video interface. There are still a few bugs that individuals should expect when they use Discord. Some of these bugs include listing friends as online or not online when the opposite is true.

Overall Opinion: It's the best communications app today. It's free and user friendly. Some bugs here and there, but aside from that it's awesome! I can recommend it to anybody who's looking for a tool for communication!

Pros: - Incredibly easy to install and start using. - It's popular, so everybody has it (exactly what you want for a communication app). - Simple Design.

Cons: Not the greatest support of integrations with other apps.
