My Opinion on Hamachi

Ease of Use
Customer Service
Value For Money

Overall Opinion: The workplace has gone virtual, and Hamachi is ready to help you adapt to this new world. Whether you're dealing with multiple offices around the globe or a workforce largely made up of freelancers or work from home employees, Hamachi can help you share information with everyone in your circle without having to worry about your data being compromised. It allows a higher level of anonymity and security for business owners, but its scale also makes it a valuable network for private groups like gaming communities. Hamachi allows you to create and maintain your own virtual private networks and determine who has access to them. It's designed from the ground up to be responsive to the flexible needs of users. You can create or dissolve virtual private networks simply, and deciding which front-end users have access to which network is as simple as clicking a button on your Hamachi dashboard. Since Hamachi can be operated anywhere you have internet access, you don't have to worry about being on-site to access all of its features, giving more power to administrators. Hamachi offers three varieties of networks. Gateway virtual networks are great for allowing remote users access to your on-site network. They use a specialized gateway so you won't have to mess around with firewall or network routers to add new users to your network. If you want to provide your users with more control over what they can access, you can make use of their hub and spoke networks. These allow your remote users to access information on specifically designated computers, ideal for close knit teams that don't necessarily have to be operating in the same work space. Mesh networking moves everything to a virtual space, connecting remote users together and providing them with access to all of the resources they need. Less centralized businesses and private customers can get a lot of mileage out of these mesh networks. VPNs are designed to provide you with privacy and peace of mind, and Hamachi hasn't skimped when it comes to security protocol. The centralized controls mean that administrators will always have a top down view of what's happening on their networks, and they can make changes to network access as well as password management components responsively. They also have a large amount of control in regards to the network and client configuration management. All of the virtual private networks offered through Hamachi make use of AES 256-bit encryption methods. Hamachi is a subscription based service, and three different plans mean that users can scale their subscription to match the demands of their business. The smallest plan allows users to tether up to 32 different computers to the same network, while the largest plan supports up to 256 concurrent users and also lets administrators create an unlimited amount of networks.

Pros: Easy to set up and manage even with limited networking or IT experience Can be remotely accessed by administrators wherever they happen to be Free for users looking to create a VPN for five or fewer computers

Cons: Gateway networks can be difficult to set up Requires a paid subscription for more than five PCs
