It was first released as part of the add-on package Plus! for Windows 95 that year. Later versions were available as free downloads, or in-service packs, and included in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) service releases of Windows 95 and later versions of Windows. New feature development for the browser was discontinued in 2016 in favor of their new browser Microsoft Edge. Overall Opinion: If you still use Internet Explorer, you are either: 1) An 80 year old person 2) Someone that's trying to download another browser

Pros: IT'S GREAT! ...for downloading another browser ...and also Windows 10 has Microsoft Edge which replaces IE

Cons: Everything about IE.

Overall Opinion: Absolutely the worst browser, but the memes are great. No, seriously, the only use for Internet Explorer (or Microsoft Edge for that matter) is to navigate to the Firefox downloads page (or Chrome)!

Pros: Use it to download Firefox.

Cons: Everything.

Nat is using Internet Explorer a couple of times per year since at least a year or more.
