Overall Opinion: PokeHuntr is a fairly straightforward tool you can use to help you find Pokemon while playing Pokemon Go. When you go to the website, it immediately pulls up a map. Simply type the location you wish to scan into the search box in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and press the "find" button. The map will shift to show the desired location. Hit the green "Scan" button at the bottom of the screen, and it will scan the area on the map for Pokemon. The interface is fairly rudimentary. There are zoom in and zoom out buttons in the upper left, and a filter button that allows you to toggle on and off searching for specific Pokemon. There is a "hamburger button" in the upper left-hand corner that pulls up a menu. The menu has several options, including scanning for gyms, purchasing a paid, "premium" scan, and loading Pokemon Go tools. The Pokemon Go tool consists of a basic Pokedex (encyclopedia of Pokemon) that provides a picture of each Pokemon, the Pokemon's number and type. Clicking on a listed Pokemon takes you to a page with more information about the selected Pokemon, including evolution, attack and defense stats and more. While PokeHuntr is not a game itself, it enables you to play Pokemon Go more effectively than you would on your own.

Pros: The map interface is easy to learn to use. There are very few buttons and controls, and no on-screen clutter. PokeHuntr makes it easier to find Pokemon in the displayed area by showing you where you are on the map and where the Pokemon is on the map.

Cons: The Pokemon scanner was off-line, and there was no indication as to when they would be online again. The message states that there is no current ETA for when the tool will be available. The Gym scanner was also off-line. The tool offered to display existing, known Gyms and did so when selected, but there was no indication as to when the live scanner would be online again. The message states that there is no current ETA for when the tool will be available.
