Overall Opinion: Wave is a web based client, meaning that you don't have to be locked to an office to use it. This is a great feature for business owners who are out of the office often, and don't have time to sit in front of a computer. By being web based, Wave also gives users the ability to be more efficient by allowing business owners to view their accounts while on the bus, in line for coffee, or sitting at a red light. Wave is also free to use for the most part. The accounting software for small businesses is free, allowing users to create invoices and manage their accounts. Other features such as payroll and credit card processing can be added for a price. Report generating is very easy to do, and provides your businesses information in an easy to read way. Wave combines some of the most needed small business features into one easy to use platform. Whether you are generating a contact list or creating an estimate for a new client, Wave is an excellent tool. One of the most common downsides to using Wave is the customer service. Wave has a notoriously bad customer service rating from its users. New Wave users should expect to wait days for responses for their questions, and the customer service representatives are usually less than professional. Another problem that new Wave users should anticipate is slow loading times. Due to being cloud based, every user must communicate with the Wave servers where their information is stored. During high traffic times, this can mean that it could take minutes for a page to load or a report to generate. Since Wave is cloud based, it does require an internet connection to use. This may not be an option for some business owners.
