Overall Opinion: Whether you're looking to put together a video conference for your large-sized business or communicate a personal message to your closest friends and fans, Wirecast can lend your livestreaming content a professional sheen. Wirecast comes with a wide range of tools you can use to turn even the most novice streamer into a video editing professional, and its easy-to-use interface means you can jump in and learn the ins and outs of the software in remarkable time. Livestreaming doesn't have to be relegated to a single camera system when you use Wirecast as your core editing software. While Wirecast works just fine with a single webcam, it also offers the support to run multiple cameras at a time and shift between them seamlessly. Support is offered for both livestreaming and pre-recorded materials. You can even record as you stream and then archive it at a remote source easily, so users who weren't able to sit in on the livestream can watch your videos at their leisure. This software integrates with Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo Live, and all RTMP destinations, and you can even stream to multiple platforms simultaneously. This is great for producers trying to reach the biggest target audience possible. For business professionals, Wirecast offers a built-in peer-to-peer conferencing service. All you have to do is create a meeting instance and then share the link with any participants you want. The Wireless Go option accessible through Wirecast's iOS app lets you turn your camera phone into a streaming camera that can sync up with the whole Wirecast framework, and they also offer support for every variety of digital camera. Wirecast users have a wealth of tools at their disposal when they're looking to create dynamic effects for their streaming videos. Over one hundred graphics and titles come packaged with the software. Sports broadcasters can create effects that can lend them the look of a professional broadcast network through the inclusion of scoreboards, timers, clocks, and the ability to edit replays directly into their live or canned footage. Sound editing options are equally as impressive. Multi-channel audio ingest is included, and up to eight independent audio tracks can be mixed together in a single stream. A built-in web browser allows you to project the contents of a computer directly onto your video. All of this is handled through an intuitive design interface that uses simple drag and drop functions to provide users with the results that they're looking for. Streaming is all about engagement, and Wirecast provides users with the tools they need to open up communications with their viewers even while their livecast is broadcasting. Built in Twitter curation and display means your users can speak with you even in the midst of the stream. Facebook comments can be streamed to you in handsome and legible animated titles.

Pros: Slick and simple interface lets users learn the basics of the system in a couple of hours Dynamic editor is a great way to prepare clips for a livestream or assist in post-production Personal and professional versions available

Cons: Full software package costs hundreds of dollars Novice streamers with limited audiences might not need most of the
