Overall Opinion: Catalogs and directories can be arduous to create and maintain. CatBase's users rave about how much easier it makes their work lives. In fact, the product only feels cumbersome during the installation process. Once users install and set up CatBase, they love its versatility. The software can draw data from spreadsheets, databases, CSV files or XML files. Additionally, users can type new information directly into CatBase's interface. This product gives users more control than competing titles, but CatBase's versatility carries a price that only makes sense for organizations that regularly produce catalogs or directories. Outfits that occasionally create database-driven publications should consider online solutions.

Pros: CatBase saves users' time. Users laud the brand's customer service. This title automates data-importing, and it aggregates data and images. The program turns difficult layout management into a memory. CatBase's publisher, Tenthmatrix, helps clients set up their templates. Tenthmatrix also offers online tutorials that help new users easily adopt CatBase. The company provides tailored instruction manuals.
