Fitbit Blaze is a smartwatch that includes both a heart rate monitor and a fitness activity tracker. It comes with a color touchscreen, and you can change both the watch's strap and frame. Overall Opinion: Smartwatches have become very popular, thanks to the Apple Watch and various Android-based smartwatches. Fitbit Blaze takes the concept a step further by focusing on fitness and health. With the Blaze, you can not only track you heart rate, but you can also manage your fitness routines in coordination with its smartphone app. It can even help you sleep better. The watch's activity tracking is really excellent, and it can even recognize what you are doing automatically. It also guides you the through the activity as well. Another really great feature of the watch is its battery life. The watch can run for 5 days without recharging it, which is far superior to the Apple Watch. You can further fully charge the watch in less than an hour. There are a number of negative aspects to the watch, though. First, it is not waterproof, so you must remove it prior to bathing or swimming. There is also a noticeable data lag during certain intense activities, and it does not have a built-in GPS like its predecessor, the Fitbit Surge. Finally, its notifications do not support Facebook, Twitter or Snapchat, and while it will notify you of phone calls, it will not let you actually answer them. Those considering the Fitbit Blaze should understand that Fitbit has subsequently released 2 new smartwatches since the Blaze: the Ionic and the Versa, both of which have features that are superior to the Blaze.
