Overall Opinion: Silo’s main advantage is that it is accessible to 3D designers of any skill level, from no experience to professional. As someone who previously has never created a 3D model ever before, only a few minutes of toying around with the program has made me feel like I could master it one day. This is unique because typically these kinds of programs are cluttered, complex, and full of jargon. You won’t get that with Silo. The interface is minimalistic and modern. It speaks to the common people without dumbing it down too much for the professionals. On the other hand, you can’t have it all with this program. There is no way to nest layers like Photoshop. This is a feature that is essential to any artistic program, when working on more complex projects where each layer makes up multiple objects under a unified setting. Because of the lack of this option, every generated object has its own settings and masks. If you wanted to have a few objects of the same style, you would need to make all of them and change them to your preferences each individually.

Pros: The user friendly engine makes 3D modeling fun and quick to learn. Its user-interface is clean, straightforward, and easy to understand. Options are highly customizable.

Cons: The actual creation of 3D models relies too heavily on its hierarchy system. Objects act independently from each other, which makes the software feel a bit outdated. Layer nesting, which is to be desired for more complex projects, is not an option.
