Overall Opinion: For businesses making a few thousand dollars a month on transactions, 2Checkout, as a third-party payment processor, can provide an increased discount rate compared to other payment processors. Another benefit of using a third-party payment platform, rather than a traditional one, is you are not on the hook for any fraudulent or disputed charges, although you have to pay a small amount to dispute a transaction. Once you are set up with 2Checkout, you can integrate the software onto your shopping site by using the shopping cart software provided, or linking the software to your existing shopping cart. The software is compatible with almost all shopping cart programs. One of the downsides of using the third-party payment platform is it takes customers off your site to finish checking out, which may cause you to lose some sales.
