Buddy Reviews
We have 2 reviews for Buddy. The average overall ratings is 4.5 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: Buddy.works makes it extremely easy to plan out and run deployment pipelines for our organization. I feel this is the best online service option for running devops tasks. I would recommend this service to teams and companies that don't want to spend a whole lot of time or $$$ on building their own infrastructure options.
Pros: - Easy to get started - Fully functional demo period helps actually test possible day to day scenarios - Integration with lots of tools and APIs
Cons: - When connecting over SSH, it would help if it only shows the instructions to add SSH public key to authorized keys on destination once (or make it dismissable and not have to show it for each step that has SSH implemented on the pipeline - More 3rd party integration and better UI options could be added
Overall Opinion: Advanced, enterprise web development has gone from being a monumental task to something far more manageable thanks to creative software like Buddy. Buddy allows web coding like many other apps, but what sets it apart is its elimination of development and test servers, instead allowing branches to be pushed directly to an instant preview as part of disposable environments. The program features built-in communication between team members to make collaboration easy. Buddy boasts over 7,000 people using the software in more than 120 countries every day. Buddy can be added to existing enterprise infrastructures, such as Digital Ocean, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services EC2, Mac and Linux. The enterprise version of Buddy boasts a 5-minute set up, instant updates and backups, enhanced security features, integration with Git providers, better technical support, and support for Google Cloud, Kubernetes and Rackspace. Handy documentation, including community forums and a robust knowledge base, are available on the Buddy web site.
Pros: Free version of the program is available, and subscriber plans start at $49 per month Accounts can be created for free
Cons: Free version has limited functionality, and web professionals will find themselves having to pay a monthly fee to get decent results
