Description
Owned by Monotype Imaging, a company founded in the late 1800s, Fonts.com allows artists and designers to buy and sell fonts. On this ecommerce site, parties looking for fonts can use the site's sear...ch and browse features to see alphanumeric examples of font libraries. New customers can add fonts to their shopping carts. When they proceed to checkout, the site offers them unlimited access to their selected font library and more than 2,200 others through a monthly membership fee that is typically a small fraction of the one-time cost for the single font product in their online shopping cart. Artists who want to sell their fonts can submit them for inclusion. If a font meets Monotype's standards, the company will sell it on Fonts.com and via other channels through a non-exclusive distribution agreement. Read moreless

My Opinion on Fonts.com

Overall
Ease of Use
Customer Service
Value For Money

Overall Opinion: This website offers value to visual creatives. Professional web designers who opt for a membership can access the site's fonts for the same approximate price as an Amazon Prime account. Importantly, navigating Fonts.com is about as cumbersome as navigating Amazon. Still, Fonts.com should be in any designer's arsenal. After all, the site's competitors are also behemoths. Further, users can access free content and tools on the site to learn more about font development and to manipulate fonts in their creations. Also, font creators who sell on the site gain access to potential clients they might not otherwise reach. Fonts.com deserves your perusal.

Pros: The site offers more than 150,000 font products. Font designers can easily submit new fonts for possible inclusion in the site's vast catalog. This established brand is owned by a publicly traded corporation, Monotype Imaging.

Cons: The site's interface is clumsy Users might feel lost within the Fonts.com's somewhat-cluttered selection and often-overwhelming search results. This site lacks live support. The cut that Monotype takes from designers' sales is not listed on the site.

grex is using Fonts.com every other week recently.
