iTunes Reviews
We have 1 review for iTunes. The average overall ratings is 4.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: The program looks and feels like it comes from a top-tier company. With an elegant and easy to navigate design, iTunes allows users to their content in a wide variety of ways. Whether a user is interested in organizing music by date, artist, or title, iTunes has them covered. The program interacts very well with iPhones and other Apple devices as would be expected, updating across devices regardless of where a purchase was made. Music on the program is presented very well. When you choose a song, you are able to see its album art and any other relevant information that you may want to know about. The software supports the creation of smart playlists as well, meaning that you are able to set different criteria and create playlists based on that. For example, you can create a playlist with songs that you have personally rated greater than 3 out of 5 stars. This useful feature lets you quickly get different playlists made on your phone without having to manually go create them. iTunes also supports Apple Radio, where you can listen to different stations that have your favorite music. Once again, there is a wide variety of available stations, so everybody is sure to find something that they like. One downside of the platform in general is that it is highly contingent upon having an Apple device to get the most out of it. iTunes works most effectively when a user has multiple devices that support the platform due to the syncing ability. Having iTunes in only a single place might feel limiting. iTunes is a robust platform that allows users to organize their media. Coming from a top provider, the software functions just as well as one would expect. With updates being frequently made, the program has only improved over time and will likely continue to get better as technology only improves.
Pros: Sleek design - menus and pages are very aesthetically pleasing to the eye Robust store - the iTunes store has any content that you could possibly want featuring a huge variety of music, TV, and movies Device syncing - it is very nice that purchases you make on your iPhone are automatically reflected on your computer so you do not have to go through the trouble of keeping track of where you downloaded something
Cons: Feels very Apple centric - It is not accessible to users who use products outside of the Apple suite of devices Store can be expensive - typical songs run $1.29, which can become costly over time if you download many songs
