Overall Opinion: App works fine the first time you run it, but don't get too fond of it, as after you close it once it will never work again. And no, whitelistng it on your antivirus will not fix this. In short, a buggy badly written piece of junk. Do not waste your time.

Overall Opinion: Sorry but a review like the first one here should be deleted by the site administrator. When you are not able to get musicbee started after the first time you closed and for that reason you are calling it a buggy badly written piece of junk. Then I am seriously doubting your computer skills.. I use this program for more then 10 years on a daily basis. I can count on one hand the times that it did not wanted to start. And most if not all of that times it was due to something I did wrong. And if you do not have brains enough to understand that if Musicbee starts the first time..that whitelisting is complete bullshit. What did you do by the way when it wouldn't start the second time....tried it another 30 times and then decided to write this ridiculous review. If you spend that time going to the website of musicbee and search the forum and or asked a question on the forum....no why would you :(

Overall Opinion: MusicBee is a viable alternative to iTunes and other similar media apps. Since the software offers support for so many formats, it can easily be called a complete media player. The user interface uses multiple panels for comprehensive functionality, and users of iTunes will find this style quite familiar. Information about the library of content you've built can be viewed through these panels, and you'll find information on playlists, song details, and much more. Each song can be loaded with an impressive amount of supplemental information. For instance, the MusicBee software will fetch lyrics, album artwork, and other pieces of metadata that correlate to the song in question. Like any good music player, there is a search function that allows you to find specific songs or works by any specific artist. There are dozens of music player apps available online, but MusicBee features several advanced functions that put it ahead of the pack. For instance, you can use the software to convert file formats between those that are compatible with the software, and you can rip music from physical CDs that you have so you can save the digital files. However, if you want to be able to use the file conversion functionality, you'll be required to download a separate file encoder that works as an add-on to the main MusicBee software. If you have folders that already contain music files, you can use MusicBee to import those files all at once so you can keep your entire music library together in one convenient location. The software also includes several stunning visual effects that go along with the audio playback, and you can set hotkeys on your keyboard for optimal control of the software. Automatic playlists will allow you to create new and unique mixes of tracks with the click of a button. You can even use the software to glean music from MP3 players. The most recent version of the software has seen some major improvements. An issue with the tagging and music ripping system has been fixed so results are more consistent and accurate, and support for French users has been added. New plugins are available that make it easy to find and play songs from servers that are media-specific. A number of other minor bugs have been fixed as well, so the software is more streamlined and stable than ever before.
