Overall Opinion: LaunchDarkly is a powerful development tool which seems almost indispensable in the current market. End users and clients want new features to work flawlessly as each new version of a product is released. This puts a high amount of stress on developers as shortened deadlines often result in reduced product testing windows. LaunchDarkly addresses these problems and more. The easy to use dashboard gives developers up to date feedback on their new features, allowing them to see when and where breaks in their code occur. Using the dashboards target feature is a game changer. By choosing the audience you want new features exposed to, developers can control the populations that see their features and isolate problems that occur in a particular sector or industry. One of the drawbacks of LaunchDarkly is that there are few integrations, the two main integrations being New Relic and Optimizely. Other comparative development tools, such as Split or Petri, offer many more integrations such as Slack and Sumo Logic. The goal of LaunchDarkly is to reduce risk to developers, and it does this exceptionally. By using LaunchDarkly, you may be able to reduce your risk when pushing software updates to your end users, allowing you to seamlessly integrate new features for your users to enjoy.
