Overall Opinion: I found Maryfi's software to be incredibly useful for a variety of reasons. The convenience that comes along with always having that hotspot on you is remarkable. From any hotel or motel around the world you can simply access the software and connect yourself and any nearby devices to the web. There are countless situations, both for work and pleasure, where this comes in handy. However, Maryfi is also useful for people who already have Wi-Fi in their homes as you can use the software to extend the range of your router. This is helpful for many households that have weak signals in certain parts of the home or are trying to connect nearby areas together. There are many homes and places of business that could directly benefit from software like this that extends the range of Wi-Fi.
Pros: Maryfi can be used to easily create hotspots from your laptop or home computer. You can use Maryfi to extend the range of your already available Wi-Fi by having it act as a repeater for your router. This could make the difference between Wi-Fi being or not being available in certain parts of your home or workplace. The Wi-Fi signal created or strengthened by Maryfi can be used by any available device within range.
Cons: The hotspots that Maryfi creates are not necessarily new or groundbreaking, although they are useful and effective. Homes that already have strong Wi-Fi signals throughout the entire residence may not find a need for Maryfi in their average day to day lives, although the may still find it useful when going out or on trips. There are only a select few versions of computer that can run Maryfi, so the only people that can really get much use out of it are the ones with Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 computers.
