Overall Opinion: If you enjoy Google's Docs, Sheets, Gmail and other cloud-based titles, you will probably like using G Suite. You will notice two differences. First, in G Suite, you can quickly switch from one component to another. Second, using G Suite costs money. Do not switch to G Suite if you prefer using Excel, Word and Outlook. You will surely miss favorite features. Otherwise, G Suite is for you!
Pros: G Suite is backed by Google's massive size, drive and influence. The product incorporates businesses' email, docs, spreadsheets and calendars. This title integrates with hundreds of other business-facing, cloud-based software titles. New users can try G Suite for free for 14 days. Including one for collaboration, Google offers four monthly plans. Unlike other office suites, G Suite includes hosting. For virtual meetings, businesses can use Hangouts within G Suite. Users report that they love the convenience of having all of their crucial office software titles bundled into one package. G Suite's hosting can be configured quickly and easily. The suite has a clean and user-friendly interface. Document sharing is easy in G Suite. G Suite allows businesses to use multiple email aliases.
Cons: Adopting G Suite furthers Google's extensive reach, and that could have a negative long-term impact. New and light users can find themselves confused by this office suite's massive set of options. G Suite's Hangouts has less features than Slack. Users report disappointment with this offering's mobile versions and find them clunky. G Suite's Gmail does not support forms. Despite being released more than a decade ago, G Suite's Sheets and Docs still feel like light versions of Excel and Word. Syncing large data sets in G Suite can be cumbersome. Sometimes, G Suite's administrative console lags. Users report long waits when seeking phone support. Google sells access to G Suite on a per-user basis, and the total cost can become expensive for large organizations.
