Overall Opinion: Hobsons claims that 40 percent of completely disengaged from future preparedness by the team they even reach high school. On top of that, 60 percent of first year college kids find out they aren't prepared for college life, despite actually being in college. Those are alarming statistics, but thankfully there's Naviance, which is designed specifically to fix this problem. Both struggling students and 4.0 kid scientists can benefit from a little bit of real world knowledge when they come of age, and Naviance is an excellent crash course in how to get the most out of secondary education to get a great job. First, Naviance engages in some self discovery with the student while collaborating with teachers, parents and school counselors. Next is career exploration, which is mostly helping a student realize their strengths, knowledge, constraints, values, skills and goals so better academic paths can be chosen. After that is academic planning, which covers everything from learning plans to test preparedness and proper counselor visits. Naviance is more than just a software solution. Hobsons offers training and consulting services to provide a full-service approach to making sure that every student has the best chance of graduating and becoming a productive, happy worker.

Pros: Old, established company that knows all the ins and outs of education

Cons: Pricing requires signing up and a quote, and given the scale of the work, it's probably extremely expensive
