RPort Reviews
We have 3 reviews for RPort. The average overall ratings is 5.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: It's great to have a self-hosted remote management. I always feel insecure if all my credentials are stored somewhere in the cloud. RPort is feature rich and worth a try. It has better support for Linux Servers and IoT devices than the competitors.
Pros: The approach is secure by design. Credentials are not stored. The server is not able to sniff credentials. The UI is lean but feature rich. The login to remote Linux and Windows server works flawlessly.
Cons: No 2FA yet. But the developers already announced 2FA coming soon.
Overall Opinion: I have used it for managing windows clients mainly but it supports linux, iot. Find it pretty handy for executing pre-defined scripts as well as a basic commands across multiple machines concurrently. Highly recommended
Pros: Very straight forward to set up. Supports Linux and Windows No need for VPN, chained SSH connections
Cons: cant find any
Overall Opinion: Many of my customers have IT networks that contain both Linux and Windows-based equipment. This is where Rport shines. With just one tool, I can manage all network equipment from one interface. The other feature that stands out is that I can re-use all my custom scripts by applying the script on a single network node, clusters of nodes or all nodes at the same time. A real time saver.
Pros: Single interface to Windows and Linux equipment Fast and Easy to install Automation via scripts
Cons: Haven't found any yet.
