Overall Opinion: As one of the most highly rated European taxi apps on the market, it's clear that taxi.eu has managed to effectively fill its niche. Still, while there is much to praise about taxi.eu, that doesn't necessarily mean it's without any flaws. In terms of benefits though, one of the biggest is the way in which taxi.eu handles transactions. Since everything is done through the app, users can rest easy knowing that they won't have to haggle or argue with a taxi driver who might speak a different language than them. At least, that's the general idea behind the app. Unfortunately, there are plenty of recorded instances where people have had issues with being double charged, or charged more than the app indicated they would be when they were first planning their ride. While taxi.eu boasts a 24 hour customer service support team, they seem to heavily favor the drivers over the riders. Aside from payment issues, the other big problem with taxi.eu is its navigation system. There have been numerous reports of taxis showing up at the wrong location, as well as of people being told that their taxi driver got lost on the way to their address. If you're visiting Europe and happen to be in one of the cities that taxi.eu supports, then it might be worth your time to download the app. If you live in one these cities already though, or are already familiar with the area, then you'll probably want to look into something that is a little more reliable and consistent with its transactions. This app may not be perfect, but it gets the job done when you feel like you're out of other options.
Pros: Eliminates the need for communication with drivers since everything is done through the app. Accurate waiting times allow for precise scheduling. Supports some of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.
Cons: The program lacks cancellation features. Taxi drivers are not always sent to the actual pick-up location. The app's navigation system can be difficult and confusing to use.
