Adobe Illustrator Reviews
We have 1 review for Adobe Illustrator. The average overall ratings is 4.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: Adobe Illustrator has long been the industry standard for creating professional vector graphics. While there are now many programs for creating and manipulating vector graphics — including some good free ones — nothing comes close to having the tool set of Illustrator. For design professionals, it is a must have software package. Illustrator now works in the cloud, and it can run on just about any modern computer. It especially works well with other Adobe products, such as Photoshop. With it, you can create both printed and web graphics. It is as equally adept at creating artwork for a website as it is for creating a poster or even a painting. There are too many features in Illustrator to name, but some of the best are its ability to work in any screen resolution, and its excellent typography and drawing tools. What's more, Adobe is always updating the software with new tools and improving older ones. On the down side, it is a very large and complex piece of software, with a steep learning curve. Beginners may get overwhelmed by all the features and by the complexity of the software. Also, though it has some features for creating and manipulating raster graphics, they are very limited in comparison to packages like Photoshop, and, if you are not a professional designer, you may find the software to be a little expensive. Though they do have monthly subscription plans.
Pros: An unmatched tool set for creating state-of-the-art vector graphics Works on just about any computer system Can create both print and web graphics
Cons: Has a steep learning curve that may overwhelm new users Has only limited support for raster graphics It is relatively expensive, especially for novices
