Gliffy Reviews
We have 1 review for Gliffy. The average overall ratings is 4.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: Gliffy is an easy tool that contains all of the basic features necessary for creating a variety of two-dimensional diagrams. However, the software lacks more advanced features, such as collaboration and sharing tools, available in other diagramming applications. The software includes a variety of shapes for creating organizational charts, mind maps, Venn diagrams, SWOT analysis, and flow charts. You can also find a large amount of images and symbols needed for networking diagrams, wireframes, and technical drawing. When using these shapes and images, the drag and drop technology makes it easy to place each element into the diagram. However, Gliffy does not allow you to make diagrams over multiple pages, or import data from other sources into your diagrams. You can do some basic collaboration and sharing with this application, including giving viewers the option to edit, comment on, and create links on the diagram. If someone on the team makes a change, you can view the change made and see the diagram in its previous version. Despite these basic features, Gliffy does not give you the capability to view changes made in real time, or set a password for viewing and editing the document. Also, the diagrams are not easy to share because you cannot export them to PDF or HTML files. If you or your team need help with the software, you can only access customer support through email, as there is no live chat or phone option. Overall, Gliffy is works well as a free tool for creating a few easy diagrams, but does not take the place of more advanced diagramming software for individuals and companies that create charts and other diagrams frequently.
Pros: Makes it easy to create a variety of diagrams with drag and drop technology Includes basic collaboration options that allow others to view, edit and add comments to the diagram Low cost diagramming tool compared to other higher cost applications Does not require you to download or install a program on your device Interface is easy to use with templates, themes, and a variety of shapes and images
Cons: Lacks a large number of templates Can only integrate with Google applications if you pay more for a business account Cannot export to Visio, or create files as PDFs or HTML links Collaboration features lack more advanced tools seen in other diagramming software
