LG G6 Reviews
We have 1 review for LG G6. The average overall ratings is 4.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: The Samsung Galaxy series has been dominating the Android smartphone market for a while now as other manufacturers struggle to compete with the Galaxy's awesome features. LG made a solid effort to once again join the top ranks with the introduction of the LG G6 in 2017. Envisioned as a direct competitor to the Galaxy, this phone is loaded with components that typically require a more sizable investment. For starters, the LG G6 is water-resistant. It probably won't accept the same abuse as the Galaxy in this regard, but reasonable amounts of moisture shouldn't be a problem. The phone also has a large 5.7" screen. Phablets are becoming more popular these days, and the extra viewing area of this screen makes for a pleasant experience. Just these two aspects are enough to get LG lovers excited, but there is much more. The screen of the phone is made from Gorilla Glass. The only downside of this is that the stronger sheet of Gorilla Glass was placed on the rear of the phone instead of the front. The front side is also bordered by aluminum. The G6 can take a fair amount of abuse, and it has performed very well in drop tests. Those who appreciate compact devices will like that this one has a very thin profile. Despite its large size, the phone is comfortable to hold. Its camera is also top-notch, delivering resolution that is much improved over older LG versions. There are a few negatives to contend with. Most users hate that the battery can no longer be removed. LG also used an older chipset to develop the phone. This doesn't make much sense when one considers how much focus was placed on the phone's aesthetic appeal. Why spend so much time making it look nice when you aren't willing to bulk up the power? Negatives aside, this is a solid phone for the price. It falls into that mid-range area which is perfect for those who just can't afford to drop a grand on a new device. Of course, the user can also expect a necessary upgrade much sooner thanks to the outdated chip.
Pros: Water resistant Durable screen Thin profile
Cons: Outdated chipset Cannot remove battery
