Overall Opinion: I love the app, I really do .... but it has a terrible blink (when you move your cursor to the top of the screen, it flashes and stutters on the macbook) - this may cause eye issues for some, it messes with your eye and causes eye strain, and a headache. Perhaps the developers will get round to a patch or something. I hope so, as its a great idea. In theory.

Overall Opinion: Every Mac user struggles with a clean desktop. It seems that there are always multiple files to contend with, and simple things like opening a notepad can become a chore. Unclutter saves the day by providing an efficient way to manage desktop space. It is available in the Mac App Store for the low price of $3. This app is very simple to install. Once it has been installed on the system, an icon is placed in the menu bar for easy access. All a user has to do is drag files from the desktop up to the icon. When this is done, a window will open. The file can then be dropped into this window and accessed whenever needed. It is no longer taking up space on the desktop. The panel can be reopened by guiding the cursor over the icon and scrolling down. From the window it is also possible to make a note or access items on the clipboard. The location of the files is in the Application Support folder for Unclutter. This folder is located in the user's library and may be reached by using the Finder. The only drawback is that Spotlight doesn't index this folder by default, but this can be changed by adjusting some preferences. It is also possible to use the app's window to find a file by right-clicking on it. The best way to use the desktop is as a temporary file destination, not a permanent location. Unclutter gives you a way to get the files off the desktop in a single location until you can decide how you want them organized. Some users have remarked that they would like to see a better note feature included in the app, and this may be something the developers have in mind at some point in the future.
