Adobe Photoshop Reviews
We have 1 review for Adobe Photoshop. The average overall ratings is 4.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: Adobe Photoshop is simply the best product on the market when it comes to photo manipulation and correction. It is rich with features, has a sleek interface and years of development and support behind it. Photoshop features layered editing, masks, selection tools, brushes and more to enhance and edit photos. The newest version has helpful brush control features, 3D editing ability and OpenType variable fonts support. It supports most every graphic file type. Photoshop has powerful collaborative features to enhance team workflow. The collaborative features all come from Creative Cloud, where you can share your library with other users. Collaborators can be managed easily, either by granting them access (designated as "can edit" or "can view") or removing them. Having your files in the cloud also means you can access them from anywhere and work on them at any time. The subscription-based model makes Photoshop more affordable, especially if just purchased on its own. For Photoshop and Lightroom alone, the license is $9.99 per month, which includes 20 GB of cloud storage. For additional storage space, the price goes up. You can get Photoshop along with all other Adobe creative apps for $49.99 per month. There are also subscription options for businesses, which include all apps for $69.99 per month or a single app for $29.99 per month per license. Photoshop is no longer available to buy as a one-time license. A subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud is required. Adobe Photoshop is available for MacOS and Windows. It is not currently available on Linux.
Pros: A very powerful photo manipulation program with loads and loads of professional-grade features. Ideal for photographers, graphic designers and other creative professionals. In standard use by the photography and graphic design industries. At home on both Mac and Windows operating systems. Photoshop is now more mobile-friendly than ever before. Complete compatibility and integration with Adobe's other products. Access to stock photos via Adobe Stock.
Cons: Part of Creative Cloud, which requires a subscription fee. There is no longer a one-time purchase option. A computer with fairly strong processing power is required to run it smoothly. Photoshop is still on the pricey side, especially for more than one business license. An overwhelming amount of features make this software not the best option for anyone with simple photo editing needs. There are cheaper or even free options that can do many of the same things Photoshop can, such as Corel Paintshop Pro, CyberLink PhotoDirector and open source competitor GIMP if you don't need everything Photoshop has to offer.
