Overall Opinion: There's a reason why UI and UX designers are in such high demand in the app development business. While an app's continued success might live and die on a nicely designed feature set, no app exists in a vacuum. Intuitive design is a necessity in this industry, and developers need to adapt to the changing needs of both their users and the market. Liquid helps you keep growing you app responsively to the needs of your clients well after initial release and provides you with both the metrics and the tools developers want to take advantage of mobile automation. The Liquid interface is built around the notion of "Formulas". These Formulas allow you to identify which users aren't making the most of your preferred features and targeting them for engagement. Formulas are easy to build. All you have to do to start is pick three components of your user base that you want to target. Your Audience includes users who have never used a specific feature before or only use the features in a limited capacity. Liquid offers their own choices here, but you're free to customize your own Audience to identify the demographic that's most important to you. You then choose a Time to engage with your audience. Three responsive options are available here. You can either engage on a designated schedule, at your own request via the Liquid API, or in response to the activity of your users. Once these two components are locked in place, you simply choose the action to take. This could include direct engagement like communications through messaging or push button notifications or alerts to you teams via Slack or other third party services. While Liquid's Formulas draw from a limited three vectors, the amount of flexibility is actually rather robust. You can encourage continued use from regular customers by automatically contacting your sales team after a third purchase, or you can use web hooks to automatically provide your preferred users with discounts, suggested sales, or thank you messages. You aren't just limited to encouraging users who don't make use of particular features either. With the right combination of Formulas, you can create an engagement loop that helps keep users abreast of the new features, events, and changes to your apps that are to be of likely interest to them. It's also a great means to earn back customer confidence in the wake of a bug or unexpected crash. While the features in Liquid may be somewhat limited, their applications are expansive. Liquid offers integration with a number of third party platforms as well, and these are handled through convenient and easy to set up APIs. Connect Liquid to SendGrid to automatically add customers to specialized mailing lists, integrate it with WebHooks to keep your internal teams aware of new purchases, or make use of GitHub to turn Liquid into an alert system for your IT department.
Pros: Formulas system is easy to grasp but highly versatile Helps you customize responses to highly specific demographics Simple, clean interface makes management simple
Cons: Offers little in the way of metrics regarding your users Requires integration with other platforms to make the most of the tools available
