Overall Opinion: One of the most appealing aspects of GeneXus is that it can be used by those with no experience in the field of software development. The software is so powerful that it can be used to develop apps in an automatic fashion that requires almost no input from the developer. Thanks to the software's inclusion of agile development tools, users can essentially describe the functionality that they want to the software, and the software will create an app that provides that functionality. Once created, the software can then test and troubleshoot apps until they are ready for widespread utility. Databases on the back and front end can be developed without any input from the developer, and the software even creates all the necessary code to run the site or app in question. Since the software is compatible with multiple platforms, like iOS, Android, and Windows, it can be used to develop apps for just about any platform. The software can even be used to develop apps that will function on Windows, Apache, or IBM servers. Thanks to the wide range of external integrations built in to GeneXus, users can work with multiple platforms at once through the same system without having to switch out and back. The software also has integrated project tracking tools, version management technology, and multiple collaboration functions. Changes can be sent and received by users, and certain development branches can be frozen to allow for collaboration. The software can also be set to give special supervisor permissions to certain individuals who aren't actually contributing to the development of the new software.
