Focuster Reviews
We have 1 review for Focuster. The average overall ratings is 4.0 / 5 stars.
Overall Opinion: Focuster makes it easy to plan out your day by integrating your tasks and calendar. Automatic scheduling helps you save time working on your to do list, and reminders sent throughout the day help keep you on track. Despite its ability to help you focus throughout the day, a lack of mobile capability and a relatively high cost makes this software a hard sell compared to other to do list applications. Focuster syncs up with your Google Calendar account to combine your to do list and calendar appointments. To start scheduling, you add tasks to the main to do list with due dates, tags for organization, and an estimated time for completion. After making a master to do list, you can then choose tasks that need to get done today. You can either drag and drop these from your master list of tasks or create brand new tasks. Focuster automatically adds these daily tasks to your calendar, scheduling them around existing appointments and making sure you do not work into the evening. After you set up your to do list, you can focus on getting work done and rely on Focuster's notifications to let you know which tasks you should be working on. You can check off tasks once you finish them, and if you do not finish a task, Focuster automatically reschedules it for later in the day or on a different day. If you finish all of your daily tasks, the software automatically inputs other tasks from your master list that you can get done in the time you have available. Although you can view your tasks using your calendar app on your mobile device, Focuster does not have its own standalone app. This makes it hard to create tasks and set up your day unless you are at your desktop.
Pros: Automatically sets up times in your day to get tasks done, leaving you more time to focus on work Sends notifications to alert you when it is time to work on a new task Reschedules unfinished events for a later time or date User interface is clean and easy to use Syncs with Google Calendar and tasks are accessible from any mobile calendar app
Cons: Monthly fees are high compared to other to do list software Does not have its a mobile app for creating and editing tasks on the go
