Overall Opinion: Stackfield is an integrated platform designed to help users with every aspect of collaboration. Whether you're trying to manage a small team with tight benchmarks and high demands or a large team with numerous moving parts, Stackfield can provide you with management tools that you can scale to meet the demands of your unique objectives. Rather than clutter their interface with a whole lot of unnecessary bells and whistles, the Stackfield UI focuses on what's important: facilitating communications and keeping everyone on task. Productivity is centered around the use of data rooms, and Stackfield encourages you to make a separate room for each team, even when there are redundancies across these teams. That's because the data rooms serve as the hub for activity under each project. These data rooms are stripped down to just what a project team will need. The core of communications is the chat room which offers both group messaging for everyone in the team as well as direct messaging for more private communications. A task list helps everyone on the team keep an eye on objectives and how close they are to reaching them. A "Todo" list and a "Doing" list differentiate levels of progress, and a search bar allows users the means to easily access tasks in larger and more complicated teams. Once you've completed all the tasks, you may want to close the team. This process is easy, and all completed teams are archived for future reference. Tasks can be displayed in two ways. The card view allows you to drag and drop group tasks in a manner that's intuitive and easy to use, while the more complex workflows system allows a more rigorous approach to task management that lets you assign individual tasks to each member. Additionally, a filing system allows you to put all the documents your team may need in a single location. Once a file has been added to the data room, everyone in the group can access it, and it will be stored remotely for the convenience of the whole team. Commenting functionality is also available, so revisions and edits can be made to documents over the course of the project's development. Chat conversations, tasks, and files are all segregated according to task rooms, helping teams stay on task and preventing the risk of multiple projects getting polluted with the spillover from others. Each user has their own interface, and this is where all the different groups come together. Sorting through various data rooms is as easy as clicking on their icon along the left of the screen, while clicking on your dashboard compiles all the data from your various data rooms into one place. You can check all the tasks assigned to you across teams, track your individual messages, and approve or decline tasks submitted from subordinates. You can also browse through the calendar to evaluate upcoming deadlines. All told, Stackfield's strength lies in its simplicity and the way it quarantines activities into discreet data rooms. It's a basic premise executed well, and the final product shows a commitment to the task it sets out to do.
